RECREATIONAL CLASSES (30 - 45 Minutes)
Mommy and Me (18 Months - 3 Years)
This class is for toddlers 18 months to 3 years old.When you feel your child is ready to start dancing, the Mommy and me class is the best way to start. Grandparents, parents, or aunts and uncles can be their dance partner in this class. The adults are there to help the children follow the coach’s directions and learn the art of dance. Creative music and dance games are among the few things we do in this class. Children will work on following direction, taking turns, learning tempo, imagination and body awareness.
Tiny Tutu's & Ties (3-4 Years)
Get the little Ballerina's moving on the dance floor! This is for children ages 3 and 4. In this class the dancers learn basics to ballet, tap, and jazz. Students work in a fun and creative atmosphere using games and song and dance to learn. This is a 30 minute program with most students doing 2 years in music and movement.
Ballet/Tap Combo (5-7 Years)
This class is for ages 5-7. Ballet/ Tap teaches the basics of Ballet and Tap in one Class. Students will learn 2 routines to perform in our year end recital. This is a 45 minute class and students usually spend 2 to 3 years in ballet/tap
Ballet/Jazz/Tap Combo (7-12 Years)
This class is designed for dancers ages 7-12 who want to explore different styles of dance but not compete. Dancers will still learn a routine to perform in our Year End Recital!
Genres will be determined based on interest of the students but some examples are Ballet, Tap, & Jazz!
Beginner Jazz (5-7 Years)
Dancers will learn the basic steps of jazz dance with turns, kicks, and leap steps along with popular simple rhythm techniques and fun expression. We use fun, popular and age appropriate music. This class is designed to introduce jazz technique, focusing on basic jazz positions, turns, jumps, and leaps. Students will also learn center and loco motor progressions as well as proper stretching techniques to enhance strength and flexibility. Basic Jazz dance terminology is discussed as well as stage directions, center and across the floor techniques, and short choreographed combinations.
Acro Dance (3+ Years)
is a style of dance that combines classical dance technique with precision acrobatic elements such as contortion and tumbling. It is defined by its athletic character, its unique choreography, which seamlessly blends dance and acrobatics, and its use of acrobatics in a dance context. In this class you will learn many gymnastic elements such as walk overs, aerials, and handsprings. Acro students can start to take this class at age 3. We are an Acrobatic Arts Certified Dance School and follow their professional curriculum in our classes.
This Class is open to Gymnasts, Figure Skaters, and Cheerleaders to help them improve in their own sport.
Hippity Hop (4-7 Years)
This is an introductory class to Hip Hop. Whether your child is dying to rock the dance floor and show off their mad style or they want an opportunity to dance without the formal attire; Hip Hop dance is powerful and electrifying. Students will learn about the history, music, culture, and styles that makes Hip Hop one of the most popular styles today. This class helps develop individuality by allowing each student the opportunity to exhibit their uniqueness and personal style.

COMPETITIVE CLASSES (45 Minutes - 1.5 Hours)
Ballet (8+ Years)
Our competitive students will follow the RAD Ballet Technique. This is a European style of Ballet. In the RAD style dancers bring attention to their hands and upper body-giving the dancers more of a full body workout. In the RAD Ballet Technique exercises are not set as they are for some styles of Ballet. Each teacher choreographs their own exercises according to the guidelines given to them. It is this method that forms the core of the Royal Academy of Dance. Ballet technique classes are a requirement for all dancers beginner through senior levels.
Pointe/Pre Pointe (14+ Years)
Pointe work is an advanced form of Ballet where students wear special shoes to dance on the tips of their toes. This technique began during the romantic period, early in the 1800's and was used to make the ballerina appear weightless. In pre pointe the teacher will work with students to improve strength in the feet and ankles to one day be able to wear pointe shoes. There is not an age where a child is ready to wear pointe shoes it all depends on the strength and when the teacher feels they are strong enough she will move them onto pointe work.
Jazz (8+ Years)
These classes do not follow a set syllabus as styles and techniques are forever changing. Our instructors attend workshops and conventions to be on task with current trends and knowledge of the discipline. Classes will consist of a warmup, progressions, Jumps and Turns and a choreography piece.
Jazz Technique (8+ Years)
In this class we will teach and perfect the elements to perform different leaps and jumps such as axles, split leaps, Russians and more. In turns students will focus on proper body alignment and control learning how to make a single turn into a series of turns. Students will then go across the floor to learn proper techniques for turning, jumping, and extensions while increasing their artistry. This class is mandatory for all students competing in jazz and is strongly recommended as a basis for modern and lyrical.
Tap (8+ Years)
In this Class students use sound and rhythm combinations created through the feet using specially designed shoes with metal taps. As the students advance in ability, they learn increasingly intricate combinations however tap takes a lifetime to master.
Lyrical (12+ Years)
Defined simply as poetry in motion, lyrical jazz often uses the lyrics from songs to non-verbally express the music. Having a very strong ballet background as well as knowledge of jazz movement is extremely important to mastering this dance technique.
Modern / Contemporary (14+ Years)
In the early 1900's dancers began to rebel against the rigid constraints of Classical Ballet. Shedding the authoritarian controls surrounding Ballet's technique, costuming, and shoes; early Modern dance pioneers focused on self-expression rather than technical virtuosity. Modern dance is a more relaxed free style of dance with a deliberate use of gravity expressing complex emotions and abstract ideas. It is usually performed in bare feet with non-traditional costuming. Modern techniques from Martha Graham and Lester Horton will be studied and explored.
Hip Hop (8+ Years)
Born from the streets of New York and Los Angeles, this cultural dance has broken out to become main stream. Listening to the sound of rap, RnB, and top 40 pop, your soul will want to funk out! Seen in music videos, commercials, and movies like: Step It Up, You Got Served, and Stomp The Yard, as well as on the popular dance shows So You Think You Can Dance and America's Best Dance Crew, you can't turn on the TV without seeing this cultural phenomenon! Dancers will learn such diverse styles as locking, popping, boogaloo, old school, whacking, street jazz, Animation and house.
Musical Theatre, Acting and Drama (8+ Years)
Is a form of theatrical performance that combines singing, acting, and dancing, to build triple threat- dancers. Students ages 8 and up will work together to prepare a routine. This is an excellent opportunity for dancers to let loose and have fun on stage! Most themes/songs for these routines are from movies or Broadway shows.
Stretch and Strength (8+ Years)
Flexibility as a dancer is a must. This class allows the dancer a chance to work on just that, The majority of the class will be spent at centre floor working on improving the dancers flexibility. ( Junior, Intermediate, and Senior Dancers must take this class)
This class is open to Gymnasts, Cheerleaders, and Figure Skaters to help them improve in their own sport
Stretch and Strength for Adults (18+)
The definition of this class is the same as above. Anyone over the age of 18 is welcome to come and improve their strength and flexibility. ( will run based on enrollment)
Adult Hip Hop (18+)
This class is nothing but FUN! Anyone over the age of 18 is welcome to join this class. If you are looking for a fun time out with your friends once a week or a way to keep fit this class is for you!
